After our first successful Workshop in Industrial Mathematics (WIM2019), we are pleased to announce this Call for Abstracts for the 2nd Workshop (WIM2021), to be held in Catania, Italy, from October 20th to October 22nd, 2021. The workshop will feature a wide range of exciting talks, discussions, and networking opportunities with experts and researchers in the mathematical fields of “Optimization and Inverse Problems”, “Coupled Systems”, and “Reduced Order Methods”. In addition, the focus on industrial applications will be specifically addressed during an industry-featured session, hosting speakers with direct experience in industrial mathematics.
Considering the ongoing pandemic, the workshop will be held in a hybrid format: participants can attend virtually or in person. We recommend participation on-site only for fully vaccinated, tested, or recovered participants.
More information on travelling regarding Covid-19 and can be found on the website of the Ministry of Health.
